Reading the Author Challenge

September 5, 2007

The author I am choosing is Jodi Picoult. I realized today as I was on a frantic search through all my unread books for a missing review book (found it, thank goodness!) that I currently own three of her titles and haven't read any of them yet. In fact, I've only read two of Picoult's books thus far: My Sister's Keeper (which was a good but devastating read for me: it yanked my heart out of my chest, stomped on it for awhile, and stuffed it back into my chest) and Plain Truth (not quite the same reaction, but still a good read).

The three I choose for the challenge are:
  • The Tenth Circle
  • Picture Perfect see review here
  • Harvesting the Heart
  • alternate: My Sister's Keeper, because I have to read it for my OSC book club next week. see review here

Hello and welcome to the challenge! I look forward to seeing your Picoult reviews - she's an author I've never been able to get into. So maybe you'll convince me!

i'm doing Jodi Picoult for this challenge too. i just finished Salem Falls. i read The Tenth Circle earlier this year. the other two i put on my list are Picture Perfect and Harvesting the Heart - just like you. i might read Keeping Faith instead (or in addition) though, because a friend recently lent it to me. i look forward to seeing what you think about the books you read. (you gave a great description of My Sister's Keeper!)

Hi, this is Lamb. This is my first time reading about Reading the Author Challenge and I would like to know more about it, such as how long do we have to complete this challenge, how many books are we to read for this challenge and so on.
The author I am doing on is also Jodi Picoult. I have done book reviews on a few of her books: Picture Perfect, Second Glance and My Sister's Keeper. You can read my blog at http://yaorabbit.wordpress.com.
