My Favorite Christmas Song

(Before I forget, I'd like to wish a Happy Hanukkah to any Jewish readers who happen to stop in. Play a few rounds of dreidel for me, ok?)

Welcome to day one of the Wives of Faith blog carnival!

As a member of the Wives of Faith blog team, I wanted to participate in this because it'll be a lot of fun, and it'll be great for me to write each day about some aspect of my very favorite season, Christmas!

So...the topic today is "My Favorite Christmas Song." It's like the potato chip commercial, how can I stop at one? There are so many!

Some newer tunes: "Breath of Heaven." "Welcome to our World." "All is Well." "Grown-Up Christmas List." "It's the Thought."

All the carols: "Silent Night." "Joy to the World." "Angels We Have Heard on High."

How can I choose just one?

Nevertheless, the one that I love to hear, the one that makes me cry and raise my hands each and ever year, is from the New Young Messiah Tour CD, the concluding song: "Worthy is the Lamb/Hallelujah Chorus." It begins with Twila Paris's lovely soprano singing

Worthy
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain...

and concludes with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir belting out

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
For the Lord God Omnipotent Reigneth!

And He shall reign forever and ever!

The only place it'll be better than that is heaven, I think.

PS: Check out what others are saying at Wives of Faith :)
