On the edge

Here's a freewriting post for today, for the handful of people who occasionally stop by. I know I have not been regularly posting, but it's summer. I've been in transition since, well, spring. And I don't foresee any regular pattern until the girls go back to school in a couple weeks.

This morning I found this post from my Twitter feed. These two quotations hit me in the solar plexus:
  • “Sometimes it’s just not your turn…yet” (Angela Thomas)
  • “While you’re waiting for it to be your turn, become the woman who is ready” (Angela Thomas)

Wow. I need to be ready. Because it's pretty obvious it's not my turn. And it's pretty obvious that the reason it's not is because of myself. My procrastinating, easily-distracted nature.

I don't know when or how, but something will be changing. I hope.

What a treat friend :) Thank you so much for linking to me. Angela Thomas hit me in the solar plexus too :)

Those quotes could TOTALLY describe my journey the last couple of years. It wasn't my time to get a para job when I first applied in 2008. Now I'm interviewing for one today. In the meantime, I learned a LOT about the processes and the duties. How awesome is that? Thank you so much for sharing.
